There's a lot more to the candelabra primrose tribe than Primula japonica, as this hybrid between Primula bulleyana and Primula beesiana demonstrated. The perfect thing to add late-spring pizzazz to a damp garden niche, these seed-raised plants will produce tiers of pink or yellow or salmon or red flowers (or something similar) on tall stems. 3.5-inch pots. Part shade to sun; moist to wet, humus-rich soil; 2'x2'; late spring to early summer

Primula x bulleesiana
The candelabra primroses arrived today. I just want to tell you how lovely they are. They are small, but perfectly formed. Two even have flower stalks and they are intact! Considering how other shipments of other things arrive here damaged, I find it a wonder. Thank you for the very good care you took in packaging. It was worth every penny for shipping and handling. I have watered them and put them in dappled shade for a couple days to acclimate. I am so looking forward to having them in the garden. (A few days later:) The primroses have greened, straightened, and grown. Just perfect. Thank you! I will buy from Odyssey again.
