The white form of great blue lobelia is also a first-rate garden plant, bearing generous spikes of snowy two-lipped flowers in summer. This eastern U.S. native prospers in full sun and moist humus-rich soil, but also takes well to dry soil and semi-shade.  Propagated from seed.  Deep 3.5-inch pots.  Zone 4.  Photo: Krzysztof Ziarnek, Kenraiz

Part shade to sun; average to moist soil; 3'x1'; midsummer
