The interspecific hybrid formerly known by the botanical name Pardancanda and still commonly known as candy lily produces flat six-parted flowers in summer in a wild range of colors, typically with contrasting blotches. They open over a long season atop branching scapes that stand well clear of the fans of iris-like foliage.
