Description

One of many handsome sedges that rarely make it into gardens, Carex gracillima forms small swards of broad-bladed semi-evergreen leaves, surmounted in late spring by chains of flowers (maturing to bead-like seeds) that arch from upright stems.

Partial shade; average to damp soil; 24"x12"; late spring; RI native; Zone 4
