An irresistible little hedgehog of a plant, producing quilly tuffets of stiff, slender, 4-inch-long leaves, this rarely grown but highly ornamental sedge inhabits woodlands throughout much of eastern North America, typically occurring in neutral to calcareous, well-drained soil. Zone 4. Propagated from seed. Deep 3.5-inch pots.
