Description

A culinary and medicinal garden staple since ancient times, marshmallow remains an ideal candidate for those horticultural niches, as well as for cottage gardens, informal borders, and other ornamental plantings.  Pink saucer-flowers open in summer on tall stems furnished with lobed, downy, silvery leaves.  Plants eventually form large clumps, and also often self-sow.
