Description

These vigorous acaulis primroses from Barnhaven seed bear rich red, yellow-eyed flowers over many weeks in spring, continuing after most other forms have stopped blooming.  The leaves and stems are sometimes bushed with bronzy burgundy tones.  Propagated from seed.  Deep 3.5-inch pots.  Zone 4.

Partial shade; average to moist, humus-rich soil; 6"x10"; early to late spring
