The newly emerging leaves of this seedling strain are heavily suffused with maroon, adding a touch of drama to the usual polemonian foliar elegance.  Clusters of relatively large, bowl-shaped, sky-blue flowers are borne on compact, sturdy, black-purple stems in late spring and early summer.  Propagated from seed.  Deep 3.5-inch pots.  Zone 4.
