Description

White flat-topped aster appears rather frequently in European gardens, where it's appreciated for its summer-to-fall presentation of large platters of starry white flowers on tall stems.  This showy eastern North American native could be used much more often in borders in its native land, however (and we hear that butterflies and bees and other pollinators are in agreement on this).  Propagated from seed.  3.5-inch pots.  Zone 3.  Photo: Krzysztof Ziarnek, Kenraiz
