Description

Few perennials can match lesser calamint for fragrance and duration of bloom. It carries clouds of pale lavender flowers from late spring to frost on bushy 15-inch plants. Plant it in sun and well-drained soil near a path or patio, where it will release a seductive minty sent when brushed against by passersby. It's known as nepetella in Italian cookery (and it makes a great mojito). A bee favorite. Zone 5. Propagated from plugs. 3.5-inch pots. Photo by cultivar413, licensed under CC BY 2.0
