The neighborhood pollinators will be all in a buzz if you plant giant hyssop in your garden.  These seedlings, some with Agastache foeniculum as the pollen parent, produce candles of pale purple or yellow flowers for many weeks on tall upright bold-leaves stems, drawing in lots of friends.  The candelabra seedheads that follow evolve from green to dark gray in late summer and fall, providing an architectural late-season garden feature.  This central and eastern U.S. native is a highly underrated ornamental.   3.5-inch pots.  Zone 4.

Part shade to sun; moist humus-rich soil; 5'x2'; summer to fall
