An excellent rain- or water-garden companion to marsh marigold, swamp saxifrage makes a bold textural statement with its semi-erect basal rosettes of large, fuzzy, tongue-shaped leaves. Architectural branching panicles of frothy creamy-white flowers arise on tall stems in late spring. Spring to fall, this native perennial possesses a wild-edged nobility and gravitas that we find utterly compelling. Recently relocated to Micranthes.
