This blue- to purple-flowered mix of one of the earliest blooming, most adaptable, and most adorable Primula species pushes up spherical flower heads as soon as winter starts to break, often as early as March.  A favorite here.  3.5-inch pots.  Zone 4.  Photo: chipmunk_1
