We never tire of encountering marsh marigold, either wild in its favored wetland habitats, or in gardens in damp to average niches. How can you not love (and want) a native perennial that throws dozens of golden-yellow buttercup-like blooms in early spring? The glossy, rounded, rich-green basal leaves add to the display. Plants will go summer-dormant in sites that are not constantly moist.
